Factor Software - Shareware games for the Mac OS™
Factor Software's Privacy Statement
This is the Web site of Factor Software. Created, owned, and maintained by Federico Filipponi.
I respect and protect your privacy. I guarantee that my site is a safe place for anyone who visit and possibly purchase the games I'm offering.
What information do Factor Software collect?
For each visitor to my Web site, my Web server automatically recognizes only the user's domain name, but not the e-mail address (where possible).
I collect the domain name of visitors to my Web site, the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with me via e-mail, the e-mail and postal addresses of those who purchase one of my products.
How is this information used?
The information I collect is used to improve the content of my Web site, to notify users about updates to my products and to provide users with the information they need to unlock the products they purchased.
Is this information shared with other entities?
I do not rent, loan, sell or give my mailing list and other information I collect to other companies or organizations for any purpose whatsoever.
Does this site use “cookies”?
This site may use session cookies as a security measure.
The use of session cookies is strictly limited to the transmission of a
session ID (a random string generated by the server) used to verify that
data entered in a form do not come from an external, untrusted, source.
Session cookies are not stored in a persistent form on the visitor's computer (they are erased when exiting the browser) and cannot be used to transmit personal information.
Since the introduction of site
localizations a cookie is used to preserve the user's language choice with
subsequent visits and enhance the user experience of this site.
This
cookie, named 'lang', only contains the selected language code (for ex.
'it') and is set to expire after a week (it is renewed each time the user
comes back to the site). This cookie cannot be used to collect personal
data or track the user activity.
What about security in credit card processing?
Credit card transactions are handled by my reseller - Kagi. Kagi uses Digital IDs from established and respected certificate authorities for all secure credit card transactions. This means that when you pay for Factor Software products online using SSL security, your credit card information is safe from interception and alteration.
Also purchases made directly from inside the software products, via the Kagi Registration Module (KRM), are safe. The KRM offers the same degree of security as the online store.
Still in doubt? Check out Kagi's FAQ. For additional information, you may also want to read Kagi's Privacy Policy.
