MacPipes X 1.0.0 has been released!
This new version of MacPipes requires a PowerPC processor and runs on Mac OS 8.6/9.x with CarbonLib and natively on Mac OS X. Since it is a complete rewriting of the original game, I decided to add a 'X' to the name and restart version numbering from 1.0.0. I also raised the price tag a bit to compensate Kagi's commission (50% for a 5$ product!). But listen! There is NO UPGRADE FEE for those who already registered the previous version of the game, now discontinued.

[June 28, 2002]
BOOM 1.3 final has been released!

So, please consider beta 4 as a re-released beta 3.

[April 1, 2002]
The yesterday release of BOOM 1.3b3 contained an error that prevented the music from playing (me silly!).

You have my apologies for this unintentional April Fool :-).

Also, the guestbook is (temporarily?) gone. Not much of a problem, since it has always been widely ignored.

[June 9, 2000]

[May 29, 2000]

Introduced new banner ads on top of all pages. Please visit my partners to support Factor Software. Thank you!

[May 3, 2000]
All pages in this site now validate as HTML 4.01. This means that they load faster and are displayed more consistently in all major browsers. They also 'let iCab smile', but the lack of support for CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) in iCab makes difficult to read black text over dark blue backgrounds. I accept suggestions on how to improve text readability in iCab.

[April 20, 2000]
BOOM 1.2.1 has been released! It fixes a few bugs found in the final 1.2 release. Sorry, better beta-testing next time.

[March 29, 2000]
Introduced text styles (using Cascading Style Sheets - CSS) to avoid display problems in Internet Explorer 5. This means that a web browser supporting CSS is now required to correctly visualize this site. Both Netscape 4.x and IE 4.x-5 support CSS. iCab will hopefully support CSS in a future release.

[March 27, 2000]
The final version of BOOM 1.2 has been released! Many thanks to all those who contributed to the beta test program.

Introduced a Factor Software button for letting people link to this site.
Added a countdown clock to the 3rd millennium's actual start date. Many people think that the new millennium starts on january 1, 2000 and are preparing to party. That's OK to me. I don't blame them. The vast majority of the "official" information sources continuously strengthen this false belief. Every single event of 1999 is the "last one of the millennium". That's absolutely intolerable. The conclusion is: let us celebrate the year 2000 but let us also know that the 3rd millennium actually starts one year later.

[March 8, 1999]

Now subscriptions and removals are handled automatically via the form (you don't have to contact me directly to be removed). Moreover, the list is now open to anyone interested in my announcements (i.e., you don't have to be a registered user of one of my products to be allowed to join the list).

[February 23, 1999]

[February 19, 1999]
MyEyes 2.3.4r2 and BOOM 1.1.4r2 released!

[February 18, 1999]
Again, I had problems with the company hosting my site. This time, I decided to register an "official" domain name once and for all to avoid this kind of incidents in the future. You have all my apologies.
New releases of MyEyes 2.2.4 and BOOM 1.1.4 will be posted soon (new versions of MacPipes and Reanimator will follow). You will be able to distinguish them from the ones I posted three days ago by the "r2" (release 2) near the version number. If you already upgraded BOOM to version 1.1.4, you will have to download a whole BOOM 1.1.4r2 package, since the updater will not work on your version. Sorry about that.

[February 15, 1999]
MyEyes 2.3.4 and BOOM 1.1.4 released! They mainly contain updated contact info.

[February 11, 1999]
It is now possible again to download files from this web site, although via HTTP protocol only.

[February 10, 1999]
At last! I'm back on business with a new domain name and provider. Unfortunately, I was forced to drop my old provider (HostServer) because of the absolute lack of support and reliability. I apologize for any trouble the temporary unavailabity of my site may have caused to my customers.
