In deep space, your salvage team has run across a derelict starship with the seemingly mis-chosen name of “The Dire Circumstances”. Their loss, your gain. There's only one minor problem. It's teeming with aliens!

Derelict is a fast action game with unending hordes of enemies coming at you in more than thirty levels of mayhem. Play with either of two different characters: Rachel Riveter, who's gun shoots streams of rivets, and Demolition Ralph, who's love for explosions really helps him out of some tight spots against seven different alien creatures. And if you've got a friend around, pull up a gamepad and have them help you clean out the aliens!

With a gameplay very reminiscent of Gauntlet, Derelict is a must for old-school arcade fanatics.

[June 29, 2005] Derelict got another positive review from Applelinks. Reviewer Pat Miller says Derelict throws realism to the winds and does a true Gauntlet homage, complete with levels intricately designed to frustrate you, kill you, and make sure you figure out the trick to the level with just enough time to hit the exit with 10 seconds left on the bonus timer.
